Elsie the elephant amigurumi doll
My new pattern, I have drawn her a long time ago, but I never really agree with myself about colours for the ears, then last week I started playing around with some yarn and the ears where done! it was then a matter of finishing the body! I guess you might say a very different approach to design, ears first and then the rest!. But here she is! available now for instant download now on my Etsy store and all my other stores, isn't she a beauty?
I made a cute little tail on her as well

Old lace vintage crochet
Last time my mum came to visit she brought with her this piece of crochet that I made when I was a teenager, I was quite shocked to see this work again!.
I clearly remember making it!, how many hours did I do this for?... I really cannot answer that, but seeing it again makes me think of all the people who always ask me when I started crocheting, well the answer is: a long long time ago!
I really like it, it consist of 4 panels, I was probably going for a bed cover.
I used a 1.25mm crochet hook! now that is old school!
I am thinking of very carefully cut it and make a dress or top for the girls. I have some beautiful flowery cotton which will make the crochet stand up! so keep tune for a step by step tutorial coming up soon!

Birthday double chocolate muffins!
Happy birthday to me! today I am 43!, it sounds so mature, so proper... and probably so old! and jet deep inside I am quite scare someone is going to find out I am only a kid playing at been all grown up!. Contrary to popular believe I actually love getting older!, I love my ever growing confidence and fact that I don't care so much what people might think... it is quite liberating!
I count my blessings, I have a heathy, happy and beautiful family whom I love with all my heart! These are my little heroes!
So I decided it is time to celebrate! here are are my birthday double chocolate muffins!
1. - Preheat the over to 200C (400F), I used silicone muffin cases, 12.
2. - Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt, and stir in the sugar and the chocolate chips, I like to make a well in the centre of the mixture to add the wet ingredients.
3. - Beat all the wet ingredients together and pour them in the hole you make, mixed until you have a lumpy mixture. When spooning the batter into the cases just fill them 3/4 full.
4. - Bake them for 15 minutes or until they have risen and feel firm when touching them, take them out and straight to the wire rack to cool down, I hope you enjoy them as much as I am planing to! :)
Oh oh... I almost forgot! get 20% off all my items in my shops! just enter Birthday20 at check out to get your discount!, offer ends this sunday the 24th of March!
